Beefmaster Bull for sale

"Woody"

AGE:  3

REASON FOR SALE:

His first batch of calves will be breeding age soon so we are replacing him with another bull.  We have a small but growing herd so only need one bull.

REGISTRATION:

Woody is not a registered Beefmaster but he does have an outstanding pedigree with many typesetters including Black Magic.  His mother was never registered which is why he is not registered.  Click Here for Woody's Pedigree.

EPD:

We are a small herd and have not been tracking the weights and measures so do not have that information available.  The best I can do is show you pictures of his calves which are below.  You can also see the calves when you visit the farm.

PRICE:  $1,400.00  OBO

LOCATION: Nashville, OH 44661

CONTACT:  Keith - (330) 231-0956

OTHER:

Woody is our first bull in our herd 10 brood cows.  We are growing our herd and his first calves are coming of servicing age so we are looking for a new herd bull.  Woody was our experiment to see if we like the Beefmaster breed.  We have been very satisfied with his quality and consistency and are purchasing another Beefmaster bull.

He eats mainly hay and pasture grass.  He gets a little grain daily from the 5-10 gallons of grain that we give our pasture herd of 24 cows and calves as a snack.  We do this so we can observe them, they keep a calm disposition, and they stay trained to come to a bell.  We ring a bell every day at feeding time.  This is very handy when they happen to get outside of the fence.

Woody has great disposition.  We often walk up to him in the pasture and pet him.  He eats corn out of our hand.

He is horned but the horns have never been trimmed.  The length they are in the picture is all that they have grown.

Feel free to call with any questions, to view Woody, or if you would just like more pictures.

WHAT IS A BEEFMASTER?

Beefmaster is a fairly new breed of cattle created in 1954.  The breed is a three way cross between Hereford, Shorthorn, and Brahman.  Check out www.beefmasters.org for more information on the breed.
